The daily playing of the Thai National Anthem, joyfully played over every speaker and on every TV, followed by...
the sound of hundreds of birds from Mae Sot and beyond that gather in a few trees in front of the hospital.
I hear this everyday but don't notice it everyday, just part of the chorus of Mae Sot.:)
PS. Hours later will come the 8:00 howl, when every dog howls in unison for at least a minute and all stop at the same time. Surprisingly they actually seem to blend quite well...except for that one guy who is just a little off tune:)
